Corn Spinach Rice / Corn Palak Rice / Makai ke Chawal / Palak Chawal


Corn Spinach Rice is a nourishing, wholesome food. It is prepared with fresh spinach, sweet corn. Simply irresistible!

Corn Spinach Rice / Corn Palak Rice / Makai ke Chawal / Palak Chawal




Category- Vegetarian

Ingredients

Sweet Corn 1 cup boiled
Spinach (palak) chopped 1 cup
Rice 2 cups
Onion chopped ½ cup
Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
Green chillies 2 tsp finely chopped
Oil 2 tbsp
Lemon juice 2 tsps
Salt to taste

Method

Pressure cook the rice and keep it aside. In a pan heat oil and the ginger garlic paste, chillies, onion fry till the onion turns golden brown. Now add spinach (palak) and cook till the spinach turns soft add corn and salt and mix well.

Mix rice to this prepared mixture and add lemon juice. Take one part of prepared rice and put it in a mould like a katori and press so that it takes the shape of vessel. Place the rice along with small bowl (katori). See that the bowl is oven proof. Cook it for another 2-3 minutes and invert the mould to get the set rice. Serve hot with korma curries.
