Potato Sago Murukku Wadam / Aloo Sabudana Muruku Wadam


With commencement of summer, prepare this home made wadams and papads. Tasty, crunchy, they go well with rice and curry.

Ingredients

Potatoes 500 gms, boiled, peeled and mashed
Sago (sabudana) 300 gms
Salt to taste
Red chilli powder (lal mirch powder) 2 tbsp
Water

Method

Mash the boiled potatoes.
Soak the sago in water for 10 minutes and drain it.
Mix all the ingredients well, take a ball of prepared mic and stuff it in kitchen press (sancha).

Spread out plastic sheet, press wadamas, repeat it with the remaining mix. Let it dry in sun for 4-5 days, till crisp, turn the other side so that dries well. Store in plastic container, this comes for about 6-8 months.

Whenever required deep fry in hot oil, and serve with rice and curry.
