Almond Fudge / Badaam ki Burfi

Badam ki burfi or almond fudge is one of the most popular Indian sweets. Any Indian meal is incomplete without delectable dessert sweet.

Almond Fudge / Badaam ki Burfi
Category- Vegetarian


Blanched almonds 1 cup
Sugar 2 cups
Ghee 2 cups
Yellow food color few drops
Milk 1 cup
Almond essence few drops


Blend almonds with milk so as to form smooth paste. Heat ghee in a pan put the almond paste and sugar; let it cook over low flame. Keep stirring so that the fudge doesn’t catch fire. The paste should not loose its color. When the paste starts leaving the sides of the pan add the remaining ghee, keep stirring till the ghee appears over the surface. Remove from heat and spread it over a greased plate. Spread and flatten well. On cooling cut into squares.
