Nariyal ki Barfee or coconut Burfi is a popular indian sweet. It is preperad in the northern as well as in southern part of India. It makes place in most of the Indian festivities and functions.
Coconut Burfi / Coconut Barfee / Nariyal ki Barfee / Nariyal Burfi
Grated coconut 3 cups
Sugar 3 cups
Ghee 2 tbsp
Cardamom powder (elaichi powder) ½ tsp
Cashew nuts grated 2 tbsp
In a pan add sugar and coconut and ghee and cook it over low flame. Cook till the mixture starts leaving the sides. Now add cashew nuts, cardamom powder (elaichi powder) and mix well. Remove from fire and flatten out over greased plate. When cool cut into squares and store it in air tight containers.
