Kachche Aam ka Sharbat / Raw Mango Sherbet is a cool and refreshing drink from the northern part of India.
Kachche Aam ka Sharbat / Raw Mango Sherbet
Raw mango (kachcha aam / kairi) 500 gms, boiled and peeled
Mint leaves (pudina) 3-4 sprigs
Cumin powder (jeera powder) roasted 1 tsp
Sugar ½ cup, powdered
Salt to taste
Juice of 1 lemon
Black pepper (kali mirch) ½ tsp, crushed
Rock salt (sendha namak) to taste
Mint leaves (pudina)
Lemon wedges a few
Ice cubes a few
In a blender liquidize mint leaves with all the dry ingredients. Add in the mango pulp and swirl it once more.
In a pre chilled tall serving glass, add some ice cubes. Pour in the prepared sherbet. Garnish with few mint leaves and place a lemon wedge before serving.
